Leeds
Full price ticket for the half naked ladies, as 50% of the band was down with covid. Did the fans get a good deal? Absolutely. It didn't matter that they were down to two, sure four would've been better, but this was unique experience, a one off gig. Well one off for Leeds, a couple of others had experience the half band.
Ed and Tyler brought their A game to Leeds. A bongo loving drummer, and a singer with great humour and charisma, they knew exactly how to put on a show to bring full value to their fans who have been waiting two years to hear the Barenaked assembly of fantastically humorous songs.
Ed made light of the "schmovid" keeping Kev and Jim away, how we're getting half the band but 100% the performance. They fluidly bounced from song, to interaction, to song, bringing the crowd great joy and laughter. And what a crowd a Barenaked Ladies gig brings, people up front with dancing puppets, a very relaxed dress code, some interesting caps. It's a great experience, similar to one you'll have in a comedy club. However, the Barenaked Ladies deliver great songs, rather than jokes, they leave you satisfied when finished, but wanting to return the following night for more.
